What Families Can Do
This .pdf offers tips for parents about what they can do to help their child succeed and enjoy mathematics. It offers six different tips and expands on those tips for clarification. I think that everything listed is so very important and some of them are things that we might overlook or not even think about. I encourage all parents to check out this .pdf and make a mental note of what it says. After all, don't we all want our children to succeed and enjoy mathematics?
I feel the tips offered on this .pdf are also for teachers. So often teachers are not excited to teach math and that is not right. We need to enjoy it so that our students will also enjoy it. Also, we should make it fun. We do not like being bored so why should we let our students be bored. Finding new and creative ways to teach children math will help them enjoy it more. Teachers are sometimes quick to give their students answers and that should not be happening. We need to help our students get to the correct answer, otherwise they are not learning. I am making a mental note of these tips so that I will always remember them and can come back to them.
